The AP Literature class is also a place for you to think about literature as an art form, and as such, how it reflects the spirit of the times in which it was created. With this in mind, I will be spending some time with you examining the historic zeitgeists of the literature we read.
The AP English Literature exam, on the other hand, focuses more on literary analysis. Also, many students will take AP English Language in junior year and AP English Literature in senior year. There's that, too. Do I need to be able to quote certain works in the essays? It depends. Sorry.
